Mission and Purpose
The Macon Rescue Mission is a faith-based organization providing residential programs and services to those facing homelessness, addiction, domestic violence, and poverty. We seek to provide a path to recovery through Jesus Christ and exemplify His love in our community.
The purpose of the Macon Rescue Mission is not for profit but rather to provide programs and assistance to individuals without regard for their ability to pay. These benevolent programs are founded on the Gospel of Christ and shall be offered so as to rehabilitate people to a productive life and further the examples and teachings of Jesus Christ. In the furtherance of the objectives and aims, the organization shall never force or require compliance by a beneficiary with any specific religious doctrine to receive assistance, nor shall the organization develop into or become an ecclesiastical organization or denomination. Macon Rescue Mission, Inc. will remain an interdenominational and interchurch agency for the fullest cooperation in rescue mission effort.
Every person who comes to us needs help. We do our best to help, to care for their spiritual and physical needs. It is our obligation to get as many of these people off the streets as we can accommodate, thus removing them from dangerous and unbearable living conditions and self-destructive habits and giving them a chance to recover and become independent, productive members of the community.
