Macon Rescue Mission's Purpose
The object and purpose of the Macon Rescue Mission is not for
pecuniary gain and profit but rather to provide programs and
assistance to persons in need without regard for their ability
to pay. These benevolent programs and assistance are founded
on the Gospel of Christ and shall be offered by ways and means
sanctioned and hereinafter provided so as to rehabilitate people
to a useful life, and further the examples and teachings of
Jesus Christ. In the furtherance of the objectives and aims,
the organization shall never force or require compliance by
a beneficiary with any specific religious doctrine to receive
assistance, nor shall the organization develop into or become
an ecclesiastical organization or denomination. Macon Rescue
Mission, Inc. will remain an interdenominational and interchurch
agency for the fullest cooperation in rescue mission effort.
Every person who comes to us needs help. We do our best to
help, to care for their spiritual and physical needs. It is
our obligation to get as many of these people off the streets
as we can accommodate, thus reducing the hazards to our homes
and businesses, making the vicinity a better in which to live,
and giving our guests a chance to recover and become useful
again.
